In 19th
April to 24 April 2015 was held a big event in Indonesia. This event was about
commemoration of Asian African Conference that was held in 1955. This
celebration of 60th years Asian African Conference was held in two
city, Jakarta and Bandung. In Bandung, there are lots of thing that held by
government to celebrate this event. Such as Art Festival, Making a World's Record
for playing an Angklung by 20,000 peoples, and many more.
On Thursday,
23rd April 2015, I visited Siliwangi arena with my classmates. We
were becoming participant of the World Record for playing Angklung by 20,000
peoples. It was crowded place. Many peoples come to this area. The participants
were from music group, students, and also civil employer that gathered in that
place. We were also watched by Minister of Tourism, West Java Governor, Bandung
Mayor, and also the delegation from Asian African country.
Every people
got one Angklung that had to be played. That music instrument can be brought
home. So, I am so excited to have this one. This Angklung has a label, the
label are name of Indonesia Islands. At the first, I was really blind for
playing this instrument. But, after the conductor of this event explained how
to play this one, I could a little bit understand about it. The conductor only
moved his hand with some code or special move that refers to the specific
label. Every combination of move, it will make a great sound of a song.
We were having
one song for the record, “We are the world”. But, before we played it, we were
exercising by playing Indonesia songs such as, “Ibu Pertiwi”, “Halo-Halo
Bandung”, etc. I was really enjoy it, because it was my first time to play
Angklung. This is also my new great experience.
The
arena condition in that day was very hot. Actually, I can’t stand about it.
Because, I only used a cap, and wearing short shirt. So, my hand and also my
face got a sun burn. It was hurt, but after taking a treatment, it relived my
pain. My friend also got this uncomfortable condition, huh!.
